Materials:

  • Yarn: Himalaya Dolphin Baby (100% polyester, 100 g/120 m): white ½ skein, brown, dark brown, green and red; YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m): red; Alize Softy (100% polyester, 115 m/50 g): white
  • Hook size: 4.0 mm for the Dolphin Baby yarn, 2.0 mm for the YarnArt Jeans yarn
  • 10 mm safety eyes
  • Black YarnArt Jeans yarn or other semi-cotton yarn for embroidering a smile and eyebrows, white one for snowflakes
  • Strong cotton thread for tightening in the tone of the plush yarn
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch marker
  • Fiberfill

Abbreviations:

R = row
mc = magic circle
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together

BLO = back loop only
FLO = front loop only
F.o. = finish off
(12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row

Make eye tightening.

Arms (make 2)

Start with red yarn:

R 3: 12 sc
R 4: 11 sc, in the last st crochet 5 dc into the same stitch (popcorn stitch) (12)

Stuff with fiberfill.
Change to brown yarn:

Crochet 2 sc, then fold top of leg flat and 5 sc through both sides across.

Attach the brown yarn to the front loop of R 4.
Crochet in FLO: 1 sc in every stitch to the end of row.
Sew the legs to the body between R 32 and R 33.

Hat

Start with red yarn. Then alternate two colors (red and green) to get stripes (change color every 2 rows).
Make 42 ch and join with sl st to make a circle.
Start every new row with 2 ch and end the row with a slip stitch to the first sc of the row (The ch 2 is never counted as a stitch).
